Vehicle-Specific Mileage Allowance
Unlimited mileage is not available. Each rental vehicle may be driven only until its odometer reaches a maximum of 2,500 miles. The mileage available for your trip depends on the vehicle's odometer reading at checkout:
Available mileage = 2,500 miles minus the vehicle's checkout odometer reading
For example, a vehicle with 1,000 miles on the odometer at checkout has up to 1,500 miles available for that rental. A vehicle with 2,300 miles has up to 200 miles available. This is a total allowance for the rental period, not a daily mileage allowance.
Please tell us your expected trip mileage when requesting a reservation. We will confirm the specific mileage available on the assigned vehicle before the rental agreement is completed. The vehicle must be returned with no more than 2,500 miles on its odometer.

Blazer and Traverse rentals may be available in limited quantities. If a certain model or seating capacity is important, please call ahead so we can confirm what is available for your dates.
Rental Requirements
To help make pickup simple, please be prepared to provide:
- A valid driver's license
- Proof of acceptable automobile insurance
- A driver who is at least 21 years old for a public rental
- Any additional authorized drivers in person with their valid licenses and required information
- The payment method and deposit, if any, specified when your reservation is confirmed
- An estimate of your total trip mileage so we can confirm that an available vehicle can accommodate the trip
All rentals require a signed vehicle-use agreement. Additional eligibility, mileage, fuel, geographic-use and return terms apply. Wally Edgar Chevrolet does not sell collision-damage waivers or optional counter insurance products. Please confirm with your insurance carrier that your coverage extends to the rental vehicle.

Can I rent a vehicle if I am not already a dealership customer?
Yes. Rentals are available to members of the general public who meet the applicable driver, insurance, payment and rental-agreement requirements.
Is Wally Edgar Chevrolet a full-service rental-car agency?
No. We operate a focused local Chevrolet rental fleet. Our primary rental vehicles are the Chevrolet Trax, Equinox and Silverado Crew Cab, with limited availability of the Blazer and Traverse.
Can you guarantee a particular Chevrolet model?
We will do our best to match your requested vehicle, but availability changes as vehicles are rented, returned and rotated through the fleet. A specific model, model year, trim, color, drivetrain or option package is not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
How much does it cost to rent a Chevrolet?
Current base rates start at $50 per day for a Chevrolet Trax, $60 for an Equinox, $70 for a Blazer, $75 for a Traverse and $80 for a Silverado Crew Cab. Applicable taxes and disclosed charges are additional. Rates are subject to change.
Do you offer pickup-truck rentals?
Yes. Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab pickups make up the largest part of our rental selection. Availability and permitted vehicle uses must be confirmed before rental. Do not assume that a rental is equipped or approved for towing.
Do you rent SUVs with three rows of seating?
Our Chevrolet Traverse offers three-row seating, but availability is very limited. Reserve as early as possible if passenger capacity is important.
What insurance do I need?
Renters must provide acceptable proof of automobile insurance. Before booking, confirm with your insurance carrier that your policy includes the required liability and physical-damage coverage and extends to a rental vehicle. We do not sell a collision-damage waiver or optional rental-counter insurance.
What is the minimum rental age?
The minimum age for a public rental is 21. Additional driver and qualification requirements apply.
Do you offer long-term rentals?
Our department is primarily intended for short-term rentals. Contact us with your dates, and we will let you know whether the requested rental period can be accommodated. Rentals cannot continue beyond the term allowed by the signed vehicle-use agreement without completing the required renewal process.
Is unlimited mileage included?
No. Every rental vehicle has a maximum permitted odometer reading of 2,500 miles. Your available mileage is calculated by subtracting the vehicle's odometer reading at checkout from 2,500. For example, if the vehicle has 1,000 miles at checkout, up to 1,500 miles are available for the rental. We will disclose the assigned vehicle's starting mileage and maximum available mileage before you sign the rental agreement.
